The Journey To Congo ⇨ ()

In western Rwanda lies Lake Kivu, which marks the border between Rwanda and the DRC (Congo). Not too long ago, it was possible to easily cross the border at Gisenyi and spend a day or 2 in neighboring Goma. But these days the border, like everything else, has become a complicated mess. One day, after downing a few glasses of the local Gwagwa moonshine, I decided I would walk all the way to the border and try to sweet talk my way in.
