Crossing Into Brazil On Foot From Guyana ()

BRAZIL! The day had finally come. I had been learning Portuguese here and there for years, but had never made it to the country, until now. But I wasn't going to take the typical tourist route and fly into Rio de Janeiro. Oh no, that's not how I do things. Instead, being that I was already in the rarely visited country of Guyana, I decided I would go down to their southern border and cross into Brazil that way. There, in the state of Roraima, was a region rarely ever visited by foreigners, but worth the trip. It's mainly the home of different indigenous communities like the Macuxi and Wai Wai, that live on both sides of the border: speaking English on one side, and Portuguese on the other. This is what I live for. -------- Instagram: sabbatical.tommy Patreon: www.patreon.com/sabbaticaltommy?fan_landing=true #sabbatical #brazil #brasil
