The Making of Vampires, Aliens, the Candyman, and More | Making Monsters

The Distortions Unlimited crew is all hands on deck this year, right down to ideas for the new creature lines. The Halloween Industry is booming in October, but retailers make their purchases months in advance. The largest retailers in the business attend the Houston Halloween & Party Expo held in January in Houston, TX. All the "Distorters" are asked to come up with their own ideas and monsters for this year's line. Mike's Vampiress, Janene's Asylum Girl and Ryan's hilarious Big Head Baby all make the cut. Jordu and Mikey, along with several other sculptors, are brought back in to execute these amazing designs. Ed and Marsha and the team head down to Houston to deliver the goods and hope their company's ideas become big sellers. But no one really knows what the public wants. Will this year's new crop be successful? Hidden in an industrial warehouse in Greeley, Colorado. Distortions Unlimited’s owners, Ed and Marsha Edmunds, and their talented crew make monsters. Their quality props, masks and creations have been a mainstay of the dark amusement industry since 1978. Long creative hours are spent in gray-walled offices with brain-eating hunchbacks, wall-scaling zombies and docile 3-foot tall aliens. The working environment looks more like a nightmare factory than a place of business, these men and women invite you to for a behind the scenes look at how they create some of the scariest animatronics in the haunt industry. #TravelChannel #MakingMonsters The Streaming Home of Paranormal on discovery+: https://www.discoveryplus.com/?genre=paranormal-unexplained Like Travel Channel on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/TravelChannel/ Follow Travel Channel on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/travelchannel/ Follow Travel Channel on Twitter: https://twitter.com/travelchannel Follow Travel Channel on TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@travelchannel Visit Travel Channel: http://www.travelchannel.com
