When Doug gets a promotion at work, he is finally able to rent a house on his own. But he's not used to living without roommates, and the loneliness sets in fast. So he adopts a dog named Sam to keep him company. The bond is immediate and the two are inseparable, until Sam discovers the old cemetery next to the house.
