Nestled on the border between Ohio and West Virginia, Blennerhassett Island has an intriguing history with human life dating back 11,000 years. More than 500 acres in size, Blennerhassett Island is home to the replica Blennerhassett Mansion, after the original burned to the ground in 1811, and the historic Maple Shade house, which was donated and brought over to the island from Belpre, Ohio. In 1798, the wealthy and social couple, Harmon and Margaret Blennerhassett, settled on the island having been exiled from Ireland. They faced tragedy in 1804 when their 2-year-old daughter died, and then two years later, were forced to flee the island accused of being involved with former Vice President, Aaron Burr's plot to separate multiple states from the union. They never regained their fortunes or their island. Both homes on the island have experienced terrifying paranormal occurrences throughout the years, including male and female apparitions, chilling shadow figures, and poltergeist activity. Now a state park, volunteers and visitors are calling in TAPS to get answers. With boats as the only means of transportation to and from the island, TAPS and guest investigators, The Ghost Brothers, Juwan Mass, Dalen Spratt and Marcus Harvey, find themselves stuck in the middle of the Ohio River with a historic mystery to solve.
