Andrew cruises the Pacific Coast Highway on a seafood sampling adventure. His journey leads him to Stephanie Mutz, the only female licensed sea urchin diver in the state. She takes him out on the water, where they dive for sea urchins packed with rich, edible lobes—best enjoyed straight from the shell. The adventure doesn’t stop there as Andrew joins foragers Alice Lee and Chinnu Xiong to gather mussels, limpets, and turban snails revealed by the low tide. Together, they prepare an ocean-fresh meal, steaming rockfish with their foraged finds right on the beach.
