They were leading by 20 for so much of the game that by the end of the third quarter Jeff Van Gundy, Mike Breen, and Mark Jackson had already started getting into their next-level blowout talking points. The Los Angeles Clippers came back, going on a 24-5 fourth quarter run before owning a three-point lead with 12 seconds left. So, Russell Westbrook took matters into his own hands. He'd recently seen firsthand from Stephen Curry that it's absolutely possible to take crazy deep, leaning three-pointers at the ends of close games. Westbrook is not Curry. With two good shooters wide open for three—Randy Foye and some dude named Kevin Durant—Russ instead opted for the Steph impression. It didn't turn out so well.
