Festival in Udon Thani (งานประจําปีทุ่งศรีเมืองอุดรธานี) - Dragons!

Every year in Udon Thani, from the 1st -12th of December is the annual Ngan Prajam Bi Thung Si Muang Udon Thani festival (งานประจําปีทุ่งศรีเมืองอุดรธานี). Udon Thani (อุดรธานี) is a city in the Isaan region of northeastern Thailand, and one of the largest cities in Isaan, located not too far from the border of Laos. I happen to be visiting Udong Thani, this year, 2014, during the festival, and we were able to catch some of the parades and celebrations on both December 1st and December 5th, which is also Father's Day in Thailand. Here's just a quick video about the festival in Udon Thani (งานประจําปีทุ่งศรีเมืองอุดรธานี). I especially enjoyed the dragon dancing, and the boy being hoisted in the air on top of a bamboo pole to slay the dragon! Hope you enjoy this festival video, and thank you for watching.
