Insanely Delicious Thai Black Pepper Crab! ปูผัดพริกไทยดำ

Daeng Seafood Restaurant (ร้านแดงอาหารทะเล) serves outstanding Thai seafood, including an epic Thai black pepper crab! More details coming soon on: http://eatingthaifood.com/ Daeng Seafood Restaurant (ร้านแดงอาหารทะเล) is a seafood restaurant in Thailand, located in the Samut Songkhram (สมุทรสงคราม) province, which is about an hour drive south of Bangkok (unfortunately it's not in Bangkok or I would be eating here every week). It was actually New Years Eve day 2016, and so Ying and I and our friend Joel were ready for a special Thai seafood meal, and Daeng Seafood Restaurant (ร้านแดงอาหารทะเล) delivered to the maximum. Here are the dishes we ate: Pla too dadia (ปลาทูตาเตี๊ยะ) - This was some kind of braised mackerel, which to me kind of tasted like teriyaki. They were pretty good, a little on the sweet side, but delicious with rice. Meuk kai kem (หมึกไข่เค็ม) - At Daeng Seafood Restaurant (ร้านแดงอาหารทะเล) they serve an outstanding version of squid stir fried with salted egg yolk. The squid was fresh and it the yolk made a wonderful sauce. Hoy lawd pad cha (หอยหลอดผัดฉ่า) - This dish was outstanding, including razor clams, stir fried with chilies and garlic and sweet basil. Galam pad nam pla (กะหล่ำผัดน้ำปลา) - For vegetable we tried the cabbage stir fried with fish sauce and a few dried chilies. It was incredibly good and simple. Boo pad prik Thai dam (ปูผัดพริกไทยดำ) - By far the best dish of this Thai seafood meal was the boo pad prik Thai dam (ปูผัดพริกไทยดำ), the mud crab with black pepper, it was unbelievably good - one of the best things I think that I've ever had in my life. The crab was huge, and the flavor of the black pepper, garlic, and onions within the dish were award winning. Our total bill of everything we ate came to 2,030 Thai Baht (about $55).
